Terms and Conditions – 10 Past 10 Timepieces
Last updated: 31 January 2026
These Terms and Conditions (“Terms”) govern all sales made by 10 Past 10 Timepieces (“we”, “our”, or “us”). By purchasing a product from us, you agree to the following:
1. Final Sales – No Returns for Change of Mind
All purchases are final. We do not offer refunds, exchanges or returns due to change of mind or any other reason once a transaction is complete, to the extent permitted by law.
2. Condition of Goods
We are primarily a seller of second-hand luxury watches. Each watch is inspected and described accurately to the best of our ability at the time of sale.
Unless explicitly stated, watches are pre-owned and sold without warranty. Any balance of an original manufacturer’s warranty that remains will be transferred where applicable.
3. Faulty or Damaged Items on Arrival
If you believe the watch is faulty on arrival, you must contact us within 48 hours of receiving the item. We may request that the watch be returned to us for inspection.
If, after our assessment, the watch is confirmed to be in the same condition as shipped and genuinely faulty, we may, at our sole discretion:
- Offer a refund;
- Have the watch serviced or repaired and returned to you.
The course of action will be determined at our discretion.
We do not accept returns if the item has been worn, altered, or damaged after delivery.
4. 3-Month In-House Warranty
For watches that are outside of any remaining manufacturer’s warranty at the time of sale, 10 Past 10 Timepieces provides a limited 3-month in-house warranty, commencing from the date of sale.
This warranty covers mechanical faults only, being faults that arise from normal use and are attributable to the internal movement of the watch.
This warranty does not cover:
- Damage caused by impact, dropping, or physical shock
- Water or moisture damage, including condensation
- Incorrect use, misuse, neglect, or failure to follow care instructions
- Normal wear and tear, cosmetic issues, or ageing of components
- Straps, bracelets, clasps, crowns, pushers, crystals, bezels, or seals
- Damage caused by unauthorised repairs, servicing, or opening of the watch by a third party
If a mechanical fault covered under this warranty arises, the watch must be returned to us for assessment.
Shipping & Return Requirements
- The buyer is responsible for arranging and covering the cost of shipping the watch to and from 10 Past 10 Timepieces.
- Alternatively, we can arrange insured shipping on the buyer’s behalf, with all shipping costs payable by the buyer.
- Buyers located locally may, by prior arrangement, drop off and collect the watch in person, in which case no shipping costs will apply.
Following assessment, and at our discretion, we may:
- Repair the watch; or
- Arrange servicing and return the watch to you
This in-house warranty is non-transferable and applies only to the original purchaser.
5. Lost in Transit
In the rare event that a package is lost in transit:
- We will initiate an insurance claim with the shipping provider
- Refunds will only be issued once the insurance claim has been accepted and paid out
- We will keep you informed throughout the process and assist in liaising with the courier as needed
6. Authenticity Guarantee
All watches sold by 10 Past 10 Timepieces are guaranteed to be 100% authentic. We inspect all timepieces and offer the option for independent authentication.
7. Trade-ins and Private Purchases
When selling or trading a watch to us, customers must provide valid proof of identity, which may include a government-issued photo ID showing your name, signature, and residential address. This is a legal requirement under applicable second-hand dealer laws.
8. Consignment Services
8.1 Overview
10 Past 10 Timepieces offers consignment services whereby clients (“Consignor”) may leave a watch with us for sale on their behalf. Consignment arrangements are subject to a signed Consignment Agreement.
8.2 Commission
Upon sale of a consigned watch, 10 Past 10 Timepieces will retain an agreed commission, expressed as a percentage of the final sale price, as specified in the signed Consignment Agreement. No commission is payable if the watch is not sold.
8.3 Minimum Acceptable Sale Price
The Consignor must nominate a minimum acceptable sale price in the Consignment Agreement. We are authorised to accept any offer at or above this price without further reference to the Consignor. Any offer below this price will be referred to the Consignor for approval prior to acceptance.
8.4 Payment to Consignor
Following sale and receipt of cleared funds from the purchaser, we will remit the net proceeds (sale price less agreed commission) to the Consignor within 24 hours via the payment method specified in the Consignment Agreement.
8.5 Care of Consigned Watches
We will take reasonable care of all consigned watches while in our possession. We are not liable for damage, loss, or theft beyond what is covered by our insurance. Consignors are encouraged to confirm whether their own insurance covers items held on consignment.
8.6 Withdrawal
The Consignor may withdraw their watch from consignment at any time prior to a sale being agreed, by providing written notice to us. The watch will be made available for collection within a reasonable timeframe.
8.7 Unsold Watches
If a consigned watch remains unsold after a period agreed between both parties, we may contact the Consignor to review the listing price or arrange collection. We reserve the right to return an unsold watch to the Consignor with reasonable notice.
8.8 Identity Verification
As with all trade-ins and private purchases, Consignors must provide valid government-issued photo ID in accordance with our obligations under applicable second-hand dealer laws.
